What you say about F-Secure
« on: February 07, 2010, 08:24:20 AM »
I hate that program. Before, at least was a really heavy, I do not know whether today, but I moved on long time ago to free Avast. Now I use Avast Intermet Security, and I'm happy with it.

F-Secure is a very good name for a super hero movie....maybe, Marvel should start thinking about it....

I just ask what guys think about Finnish F-Secure. In Finland F-Secure is appointed mainly big joke. All those who do not know better, of course, will use F-Secure. I don't know why.

I have used F-Secure once and I stopped it. I have been an Avast User for many many years.

Here, I haven't seen or heard about anyone using F-Secure.

It is not even available in the computer shop

I hate to be the one crashing the party  :), but F-Secure isn't that bad. in the on-demand test it's detection rate is 97.9%, when avast has 98.0%. in the retrospective test F-Secure scores 56% and avast 53%. all of this according to the latest test on av-comparatives.
I moved from avast 5 free to F-Secure Client Security 9 until avast 5 gets more polished. I have no problems whatsoever, everything running ok. the Internet Security versions 2006-2009. and also the Client Security versions 7 and 8 from f-secure were pretty heavy, that is why it has a reputation of resource hog. but the latest version, especially the Client Security, is way better. it's evolution is similar to that of Norton in this regard.
