Hi pk, I've sent you the minidump. Kernel dump is ready for upload if needed.

Is this dump file related to http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=68232.msg575480#msg575480 problem or another problem?

What version of Avast are you currently using now?

Is pk aware of your current situation or has it changed since the link posted above?

don't know if it's related ??? when this happened I wasn't doing any sandboxing, as before in the beta test thread. some two hours before this, I ran IE8 in sandbox for less then a minute to check something. version is as in sig. link to this tread was included in the mail to pk.

I just want to be sure that pk is aware of everything when he gets the dump file.

You had the problem using a different version of Avast as well as this one.

What other security software do you currently have or did you have in the past on this machine including:
- Antivirus (AV)
- Firewall (FW)
- Trial versions of AV, FW and other security programs
- Other security software

- If they were in the past, how did you remove them (the vendor's uninstaller's tool or  another way)?

Thank you.

actually pk confirmed that beta issue wasn't fixed in build .889
same BSOD (BAD_POOL_HEADER) on aswSnx.SYS with 5.1.889  :P

yeah, it wasn't fixed yet (it's quite hard to simulate) - please click on "cleanup contexts" button in Process Virtualization / Expert Settings, it should help
- or uncheck "Store files..." checkbox in "Expert Settings"

As long as he is aware of what is going on when he receives your dump file, he can follow up.

Can you tell me about your other security software (question in my previous post)?

When you did a clean install of AIS, did you uninstall Avast Free?

There should be no other problems with your other software unless you are getting pop-ups with OA in which case you can put both software as trusted exclusions.
