Avast! home edition: Reinstall problem

This morning I woke up and my Avast! home edition was looking like that:

And when I tried to uninstall it I got this error:

Any ideas how can I fix this mess?

try running Uninstall Utility before you reinstall http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility

OBS: why don`t you install the new avast 5 and not the old 4.8  ???
