I am pretty Disappointed not being able to find a way myself to fix this issue. I have been playing a game (Elasto Mania) for years and suddenly, since the new avast update, it takes it as a threat and the file (eol.exe) is missing in my folder. I cannot find where it is and I don't know where to make an exception for it. I tried:
Avast -> Settings -> Active Protection -> File System Shield -> Exclusion
but it doesn't work. I tried to get back the file from a friend, but it doesn't let me download it! I disabled Avast for 10min to download the file back to my computer in its place and now it works, I guess I'll get the same issue when rebooting computer and starting the .exe I also use a 3rd party .exe to make the game play windowed mode (D3D Windower), doesn't seem to be the issue but I guess it's good to add to the information provided.
I will change my antivirus if no solution is found, ie something else than Avast.
