Keep trying then until you're tired of the effort. ;D  Then, uninstall Norton and be happy. :D

I am no expert, but was sharing whatever worked for me. I hope things work out for you too. I came back to Avast v5 from the tipping point of no return (having Avira and a fresh OS ready in hand) when things worked out! :-)
