How good is avast to capture large institution market?
« on: February 26, 2010, 07:44:49 PM »
Hi,
I see most major universities/institutions still use norton, mcafee or trendmicro in their network security. My questions are:

1. Is avast technically equal or better to those so that these institutions can rely on avast?
2. As I talked with many it guys in such schools/institutions, they are worried about the support quality while choosing low profile names for computer security. How can avast gain confidence on this front?
3. Is avast competitive in price for volume licensing ?

As a general user, I am curious to know what avast and other users think of this? I know among tech savvy people, avast, avg, nod32 are good names but in real world, mass people are not that much informed.

Thanks.

Note: I am talking about paid full version for corporate/volume licensing here.
