Avast has eliminated the Voice Notice of VPS updates in recent version.
You are not alone in wanting the Voice announcement back, many have posted, :)

I really hope they will bring those back.. It was something that made avast "unique" ... First thing you hear when you boot up your computer  ;D

Maybe they should create a poll "Do you wants voice announcement back" yes , no ...

Also i think that there were an option to disable that in settings , for people who dont like it... So what's the point in removing .. I'm sure that there are many users who liked it and now miss it  :)

Sorry for my english , hope you understand ;D

No, not at all; just on the VPS updates which occur 1 to 3 times per 24 hour period.  Before the VPS update notification were discontinued, the streaming updates were never announced.

I think a lot of users want the VPS voice update notification back, because hearing it reassures them everything is ok  :)

Exactly the point I have made many times - personally I have just had an issue with the VPS updates not being done (no sounds no knowledge), up until avast eventually said my virus definitions were out of date. Too damn late if you ask me.

You shouldn't have to go hunting to ensure things are up to date.
