avast 5 and mse

hi all

Ive read on here that you can run avast 5 and mse at the same time, i running both of them now but am just wondering if i should turn of one of the real time protection please could someone help me

Please don't use 2 or more AV.  :)

ive read on topic's on here that its ok to run them both,

if its not ok which of them is the best to use because am new to avast

No. Maybe you read that avast 5 IS firewall with ms firewall is ok?

But 2 av is dangerous to system.

avast 5 is better.

If you love having two AV that's your problem but better is one Av and Other as demand scanners!!

Having MSE is OK as long as you do not enable its resident protection but I would recommend MSE for people that do not know about the power of avast! Free.  ;)

@ hpguru

Windows Defender is OK and is standard on Vista and Windows 7 but it should be updated daily through its portal:
http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Definitions/ADL.aspx

Its current definitions are 1.77.268.0 and can be set to run a Quick scan daily

Hehe my school just formatted a damaged computer windows and put avg there what the kids did is that they put a virus rootkit in it and system down again houf man!!!
