Help!

My husband opened one of those great emails about a confirmation number from Amazon (he hadn't ordered, thougth I had) and got the avast warning about JS:Downloader-LM[Trj]. We told Avast to move it to the chest, but it says it can't be moved to the chest because it is being used by some TIF. This has everything locked up on his laptop, including being frozen now in screensaver mode. I submitted a help ticket 7 hours ago, but no response. I really don't want to shut the machine down and have the Trojan go wherever it goes when it reboots. I can't run a log, Hijack This or anything.  :-X Any suggestions are appreciated.  :D

Hi Judy,

Welcome to the avast forum,

Are you able to do avast scanning with current condition?

We resolved the issue by using system restore and running Super Anti Spyware. The point is, we have Avast and SAS (for a couple of years), and we still get this stuff. He got Antivirus Soft virus today and I have spent the day dealing with it... really frustrating when it cost us a fortune when we sre doing dumb stuff from people with no lives instead of working toiward our new business.

Thanks for your input.
