Hi all i buy ( Avast 5.0 internet security ) last week
I have not be to get no update for 8days now plz help on fix this

The key tell me it is invalid on all the time i go on the update box :'(
im run windows 7 64-bit

hm

seen i post my update not work today weth the Pictures
my 2 PC have be update 4 mins an go lol at is fast ty avast for fix it fast i have not be to update 8days

i hop the update keep work is time

but i what to know why it was not let me update why it stop update an
tell me my key was invalid thx.

Hi Caudwell

Just To Confirm...

1) Uninstalled - Avast Internet Security : 5.0.418
2) Run the Avast Uninstall Utility from Safe Mode : http://www.avast.com/en-gb/uninstall-utility
3) Delete the Alwil Folder from Program Files ( Note: You will need to show - Hidden Files and Folders )
4) Reinstalled - Avast Internet Security 5.0 : 5.0.447

If You Did All 4 Steps .. Then

.. Think you could be right $:-\$ .. Think there might be something wrong with your Licence File

I know that others have had problems with the Licence Files and Registering - Avast 5

I really think the only way of sorting this out would be for you to contact support $:-\$

I've just been looking at your pictures again

I've only got - Avast 5 Free

So I'm not really sure how it all works with - Avast 5 Internet Security

1st Picture shows your - Avast 5 Internet Security .. Expiration Date: 26/02/2011

2nd & 3rd Pictures Show .. Not Sure! $:-\$ .. Was you trying to put the Licence File in again?

Note!
As long as Avast 5 excepts the Licence File - & - Gives you the correct Expiration date...
You only need to put the Licence File in - Just Once - Into each computer that you have Avast 5 Internet Security installed on.

You Bought... Avast 5 Internet Security .. 1 Year - 3 Computers
So..
Computer 1 .. You Install - Avast 5 Internet Security ... Put The Licence File In That Computers - Avast 5
Computer 2 .. You Install - Avast 5 Internet Security ... Put The Licence File In That Computers - Avast 5
Computer 3 .. You Install - Avast 5 Internet Security ... Put The Licence File In That Computers - Avast 5

Even though your Avast 5 says.. Expiration Date: 26/02/2011

You have NOT been getting - Virus Definition Updates :'(
And...
When you've been trying to update your definition updates Manually.. That's when you've been getting told that your licence file is Invalid

Bad news guys is back update bug :'( the update not let me do it tell me the license for this product is invalid
i for got to put is Picture on yesday i hop it help is the Red box tell me the key has expired

i have done this
1) Uninstalled - Avast Internet Security : 5.0.447 :
2) Run the Avast Uninstall Utility from Safe Mode :
Delete the Alwil Folder from Program Files (alwil avast in it i delete the one was in the hidden files and folders be for i reinstalled the next update)
3) Reinstalled - Avast Internet Security 5.0 : 5.0.454

to see if at avast update ( Avast Internet Security 5.0 : 5.0.454 ) it has not fix the license key invalid
fix the update license key bug plz
why is my license key for the product is invalid i can't update at all???
hm i hop if i get is fix fast like yestday at make me happy ty
i what to know why dose it keep doing this i hop you guys going to fix it in you next update thx

I suggest an installation from the scratch:

1. Download the latest version of avast! Uninstall Utility and save it.
2. Download the latest avast! version and save it.
3. Uninstall avast from Control Panel (if possible). If, for any reason, you can't run it, try booting in Safe Mode and doing it from there. Anyway, boot after that.
4. Run the avast! Uninstall Utility saved on 1. If, for any reason, you can't run it, try booting in Safe Mode and doing it from there. Anyway, boot after you've run it.
5. Install avast! using the setup saved on 2. Boot.
6. Register your free copy or add the license key for Pro.
7. Check and post the results.

i have put an new picture up top.
for is key bug not let me update.
got to picture up yesday wen i had it this bug.
the update tell me my key is invalid.

Is it possible your time / date is wrong?

if not I suggest you take this issue back to where you purchased the licence.

As it does look like there could be something wrong with your licence file.

I have Submit a support Ticket for help on ( http://support.avast.com ).
Hop they get it soon an fix it i have put Pictures in it to see if at help them an know what im get
the invalid key for.
I hop they give me an new key bcose i tik is one i have is bug big time :'(

i have redone my PC so is what im use now in list 2 but be for i redone my PC i had ( Lavasoft AD-Aware 2010 ) and ( kaspersky Internet Security 2010 trial ( not like kaspersky at all so i like avast best one i have use for gameing an it seens i have be useing the ( free avast 4.8 ) for an long time it was the best one for my PC gaming)
on my PC

If there is something actually wrong with your Licence File .. I'm afraid only support is going to be able to fix that

However!
I've got a question for you

Have you ever used - CCleaner ?
I don't really like Registry Cleaners - or - Any kind of cleaners really

But sometimes it is necessary to clean something out that is causing problems

My Suggestion Is...
1) Download - & - Install .. CCleaner : http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ ( Note: Green Button .. For Latest Version Of CCleaner )
Note: Make sure you Un-Tick the Yahoo Toolbar during the Installation of CCleaner.
2) Uninstall - Avast Internet Security
3) Run the Avast Uninstall Utility from Safe Mode : http://www.avast.com/en-gb/uninstall-utility
4) Delete the Alwil Folder from Program Files ( Note: You will need to show - Hidden Files and Folders )
5) Use CCleaner - With Caution! .. Please See My * Note Below!
6) Reinstall - Avast Internet Security 5.0 - 5.0.462 : http://www.avast.com/en-gb/download-software#tab2

Re: 5 - CCleaner *
1) Run The Reg Cleaner - Only!
2) Untick The Top Box .. So that everything is - Deselected!
3) Tick only the Boxes for things like... Avast, Alwil, Kaspersky
4) Let It Clean! - Only what you think could be causing a problem with your Avast 5
Note: If you can't see anything that you think could be causing your problems... Don't Run It! ( Just X Out! )
Note: If you want to use the other cleaner part of CCleaner.
I would suggest you Un-Tick all the boxes for.. Example IE, Firefox, Adobe etc.
And..
Just leave.. Windows Temp Files - Ticked!

Take care!
And only do what You feel comfortable with

Yep .. There is another version of Avast 5 available now: 5.0.462
