How long will Avast 4 be supported?

I'm anxious to upgrade to the latest Avast 5 right now, as I'm with all programs I depend on so much every day. I guess version 4 virus engine won't be updated, but what about continued signature updates? How long will Avast 4 be supported?

Thanks for advising!

Nine months are surely enough time before I get my hands on 5. Thus I too would like that be confirmed officially.
