Outlook 2007 won't start after upgrade

I allowed Avast to auto-upgrade to latest version and after restart, Outlook won't start.

The avast plugin banner briefly flashes and I get a error dialog:

"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window"


Disabling the mail shield has no affect. Obviously there's a problem with the plugin.

OS: Windows 7 Business, with all latest windows updates

Please advise.

Never mind, not an Avast problem, sorry. But it was very coincidental with the upgrade.

Found Solution:

Click start & run: Outlook /resetnavpane

Might be helpful to others...
