I agree with the op. I hid the orange agitator but now it bugs me that I cannot see it working. Blue was perfectly fine. Not that I'm not pleased with the program because even on my two stroke xp engine, it has done well.

The problem is that Windows 2000 can only render tray icons in 16 color depth.
That's why it looks terrible.
Can the Windows 2000 user hope, that this will be fix in a programm-update?

Perhaps you might consider an upgrade. I think Win 2000 has seen its day. :)

Helpful statements, thanks guys!  :-*

I don't think, that it is "such a big job" for avast! to fix the bug...  :o

I really can't see them fixing this considering Win 2000 will reach it's end of support on July 13th, 2010.

Microsoft ends with support, but avast! not.
Because of that I hope, it will be fix.

tsava!

I would be very surprised if avast! can be modified to fix this in Windows 2000.  After all, it is not an avast! bug - it is a limitation of the operating system, in this case Windows 2000.
Windows 10 (64bit); 8GB RAM; Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro; avast Free (latest version)

How can you see that an icon almost the size of the end of a pencil eraser is grainy?

I have XP Pro SP3 and mine isn't grainy.

The OS has virtually zero impact on the icon (unless you happen to have win2000), that is down to a) monitor, b) resolution, c) colour of the background, etc. etc. So I don't know which might have an impact on yours.

I have no problem with mine, see image, click to expand.

The no-good icon appear in virtual machines also, due to bad monitor/video drivers while running virtual machines.
