another sounds question???

windows 7, avast version 5.0.462
avast no longer notifys me with the pop up box telling me "your virus data base has been updated". I have the sounds box checked in settings. I'm getting updated just no update box with voice.  Really like this feature. Have i missed something??????????  thanks in advance...Butchie
