avast! 5.0 uses starforce copy protection technology?

Heard that avast! 5.0 uses starforce copy protection technology? Even if the re-format the hard disk can not be pegged to eliminate registration information? This technology would steal user information, and should have been banned, and would like to know the results, thank you

I'm not sure where you heard that kind of rubbish. They are using their in-house licensing model through their activation servers.
