avast 5.0.462 please help me

I have updatae Avast 4.8 with Avast 5.0
The licence of Avast 4.8 expired at the 1st of April 2010.
Now, with the update, the date of the expiry is not modified... Avast 5.0 expired at 1st of April.
How can I register the new version? I don't find the page to do this registration of Avast 5.00.
Can anyone help me?

You register in the UI, in the maintenance tab.

You right click on the avast-icon in the tray (next to the clock).
That opens the User Interface (UI !).
There you should be guided to the registration (it's in the maintenance tab)

i haver the same problem, but do not have the option renew now under the ui, so what should i do?

Hi Guys, i have the same problem, my Avast expires on the 1 April 2010 as well, and there is NO renew option in the UI. There is only the button for:

'Insert avast! Pro Antivirus / Internet Security License File'.

I have already registered on the website and received the free key in my inbox. I don't know where to enter it in, Please help!!

Whit a while longer there is still over two weeks to that expiry date and I don't know if the notification period has been reduced from 21 days as it was in avast 4.8.
