Hi there using Avast 5 Free which is the most indepth, detail scanning technique for Vista & what options/ parameters should be checked........Boot Time vs Real Time?

Boot Time should be better but with what parameters?? :-\

if you can use boot time scan - use it!
options? hmm... all drives/check pup/check archives
be aware where your logs are located, so you can check them after startup.
