Can avast 4.8 pro scan .avi files ? When I try to scan a film to check if it is virus free nothing happens , any ideas anyone ?

Certainly. Simply right click on the file and select scan

ok did that but nothing happens ???? everything else with avast functions perfectly but when I do click right nothing , this problem seems to only happening with films in .avi format .
