I can say for sure that in 75% of cases, the problem is related to a system wide problem. Ppl have their systems thrashed so badly that such low level applications start to have problems. And only way to solve this is to install system again from scratch.
Or sometimes even reinstalling problematic program itself helps.

Well according to the poll what I recommend is that if you have a problem, the forum is bright open.
Start a new topic and wait for help(If you really love avast^^) if the problem is still unsolved you are free to use any other antivirus which you think can give you a good security like avast or better.
Either free or paying ones :)

Up to you guys ;D

By the way I voted for the first one

For crying out loud guys! Avast is by far one of the most advanced, modern,  comprehensive Computers protections Programs on the market today. There is just no pleasing some people.

No one is putting a gun to your head to use it, if the correct steps are followed in resolving a problem should it arise in addition to all of the wonderful FREE support offer but the valued knowledgeable Avast Forum user, Most is not a very large proportion of the problems/issues are solved promptly.

I have been an Avast user for over 6 years now and am thrilled to bits with the professionalism exhibited by the Company.

Vista was released to the public without a hitch (they wish!!)

Remember there is always a solution to a problem, some  take a little longer to pinpoint
than others.

I have use every versions of Avast 4/5 Alpha,Beta, etc and have not never encounter a problem that could not be resolved.

Some people are just never please ........sad isn't it?? Typical of our NOW society.

Keep up the Outstanding dedicated work Avast and thank you for the many years of True Total Virus Free Computing Protection you have happily supplied to me and countless others happy users.

Regards Ted

Dear me, another daft poll with a choice of silly alternatives.

OP wouldn`t be a politician, by any chance?

Why on earth would I want to to use anything other than Avast which has kept my computermabob safe for years?

Go away.

OK, you are a Frenchman, I understand why you talk that way.
keep French. ;)
in World War II when France needed, the United States helped the France to be free.
but when the United States of America need help from France in iraq, guess what happened.
In the next war only run as your people did in the war in Iraq.
if you do not bring the solution, dont bring the problem.
you carry a lot of anger in your words, I think it is you who needs a psychologist.

avast has many problems in version 5.
If you can not resolve a problem do you exchange avast for another antivirus?

Hi,

Install Mcafee for a few days, then uninstall it, and try avast again, you will ADORE it.

If you still do not like Avast, try CA Internet Security, it's the best out there.
Keep us informed.

Thanks
