AVAST 4.8 PRO XP PRO Samba Users ability to delete viruses?

I'm running AVAST 4.8 PRO in a School environment using Samba roaming profiles on Windows XP PRO.

I need to know if AVAST will allow authenticated Samba users to delete viruses!
And if not, how to allow Samba Users to delete their own viruses?

I'm getting a lot of request to clean student’s USB thumb drives!   :-\

Any help much appreciated!
