Your system is not fully protected

Greetings,
First post. I'm running AIS trial version 5.0.462 on WinXP SP3. Came from Kaspersky tired of drag on system. Removed KIS with their removal tool. AIS so far is definitely faster. Problem is the tray icon message: Attention - Your system is not fully protected. However, when I open the program, all components are green/running and it says "Your system is fully protected."
Known issue? Any ideas?
Thanks.

try avast repair and reboot
For a repair of avast. Windows, Add Remove programs, select 'avast! Anti-Virus,' click the Change/Remove button from the pop-up window, scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.
did it work?

If the repair doesn't have any effect:
Is this an ! exclamation mark or an X over the avast! icon ?
It may be that it is just slow initialising on your system, if you left it alone would the tray icon return to normal after a few seconds ?

Update....
Disabling then re-enabling all shields changed the message to "Your system is secured."
Pondus.. I'll try the repair if it comes back. Thanks for the suggestion.
DavidR... no ! or X was over the icon.
