Just bought program, problem installing

I just bought this program but I'm having a problem installing it.  First, do I need to download the trial so I can open the license sent to me in the email?  I only see download trial or add license on the options when I try to start the installation.  Also, when I tried to installed the trial one it keeps telling me that it cannot be installed b/c there is not an internet connection... my internet connection is always connected so that shouldn't be a problem. 

Please, please help me!!  I need to install this ASAP!!   I really don't like it that there is not a customer service number that I can call & talk to somebody in person!!!!!!!!!!!

If you do not have at least the trial version, there is no where to insert the license file. As far as the connection, do you have a firewall? If so, avast must be allowed through the firewall. Not letting avast through the firewall will, of course, cause avast to "think" that there is no internet connection.

There are numbers you can call, but, since avast is located the the Czech Republic the cost of the call would be expensive for you and you would need to call approx 2AM your time if you are on the east coast of the USA. Adjust the time according to your location in the USA.

Charley seems to have given u a link for just about everything. You said u Bought the program which to me would be Avast 5 Pro.. If u downloaded Avast 5 Pro and then it couldn't set up because it could not connect to the internet that sounds like your firewall is blocking the access---

You can go to the avast website to tech support and Create Ticket---u should tell them when u do so what operatiing system u have, the firewall and the actual program version u are trying to install... my own computer has the microsoft XP pro with Windows Firewall and now using Avast 5 Pro which is the paid version--U may be running the Vista operating system if your computer is new.
