the "terminal" seems to be like "run" windows^^.Rather cool!!

If it's still like the old days, I think you have 6 "terminals" in all.
Alt + F2, F3, F4, F5, F6, F7, and F1 brings you back to the desktop.

I haven't played with anything newer than Ubuntu 8.04 (I think) but it should be the same.

I think I am impressed with Quirky made by by Barry Kauler, the founder of Puppy Linux

Here is a summary of features specific to Quirky 1.0: GRUB Legacy and Grub4dos; Flsynclient - synclient GUI configuration of touchpad; Openbox, Fbpanel, JWM window managers; numerous updated applications (AbiWord, Pmusic); 2.6.33.2 kernel, updated firmware, bug-fix patches; new tray applets - Traytemp, Powerapplet, Freememapplet, Retrovol....

I haven't tried FF 3.7 in Linux, but I tried Chromium and Chrome and they were faster than Chrome in Windows. FF 3.7 in Windows (latest minefield build), is still ages behind Chrome in Windows, in terms of speed, so I doubt it's the fastest browser in Linux >>> try Chrome or Chromium in Linux

I'm using Chrome in Debian and the fonts (which I complained about before) now look very nice. I haven't noticed any speed differences, but then I never do.

I said 'Maybe'  because in my low ram system for linux about 512MB RAM when I compared both of them I found Firefox 3.7 to be more stable even it is not technically faster than Chrome.

And Google Chrome made my hard disk make a lot of noise - i think it is using the swap file

I am on Puppy5 i.e based both on Puppy and Ubuntu
