I run OS to experience them a bit and to see which one between all of these are better in side of:
1. Easiness
2. Best performance
3. Look

Well Ubuntu development is rather so an I am so impatient for them to reach a very good level!
By the way can't a lot of process be done for ubuntu?
The 9.10 just tired again yesterday and gave me a lot of bad moment!
Slow browser of firefox compared to xp which I was using!
Updating totally slow compared to Microsoft's update!

Hehe I have not yet tried out windows vista and 7 yet but my laptop won't support it I think!
Damn I wonder when I'll get the new one...by the way can a laptop of 1 gb of ram with pentium 4 processor support windows 7 ;D ?

Try Ubuntu 10.4 -   8)

I've downloaded it!
After booting the cd, it stay on the same sort of page for minutes then I got bored with that and turned my laptop off!

By the way I can upgrade to windows 7:
1. Because my Ram not enough only 512mb
2. Card graphic should be upgraded too and that's all!

most likely a graphics server issue when booting from the live cd. Happens with many cards. Try to boot on "vesa" mode...or non safe mode (you got many options on the booting screen before launching the process, look at them ;) )

same like with a CD. When you got the Ubuntu welcome screen, look at the options...

I don't know that screen (Ubuntu isn't the distro I use when I use one)...can you click on the icons that appear at the bottom or is it just nothing...can you try to just hit enter if no mouse cursor appears...

Ok, so I found that I need to hit enter to get the menus...

Couldn't find vesa, but I found that selecting acpi=off got it working :)
