There is ISA 2003 proxy problem with Avast update.
1) Avast uses PING to define is Avast server is available or not.
By default PINGs are fobbinden in my configuration of ISA.
So, no updates available.
After alloing PING get error in proxy log:
FWX_E_CONNECTION_KILLED 0x80074E24 ISA Server closed an established connection before either peer requested to close it. This typically occurs when an application filter detects a protocol violation, such as a malformed HTTP request.
Configuring Proxy in Avast options has no use. Any settings do not work. I receivie 502, 403 http proxy error or just nothing. Using MS Firewall client does not change result.
2) (At!!!!) Running Control Panel - Uninstall program - Avast - Update doing just fine!
3) Avast ver 4.8 has no problem in connecting in the same environment.
