Avast! x Firewall

Hello Folks,

Im using avast! 4.8 behind a network firewall and updates are not possible, I try to release the 80 and 8080 pots under http protocol but nothing happens
Is there some way to allow avast! access the update servers ?

Find out which ports/settings the firewall uses to connect to the net (ask your admin/provider), adjust avast to the settings your firewall uses.

Ok. But avast have just an option to use Proxy and not Firewall, where can I adjust this ?

Which firewall is used, which os do you use, which avast build 4.8.???? which avast (home/pro/whs...)?
Is there a router involved? Have you maybe thought about updating to avast v5?
