Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

You'd better not try this av, it is very weak and always be closed by the virus
Even in China, it has a bad reputation because the company involved in unfair competition and it paid little attention to technology.

Hi wildcard,

谢谢您的参与 Thank you for your participation.
It is a bit disappointing to hear this.
But there also success stories from China, I have seen this site for instance is good for url checking for mainland China: http://www.knownsec.com/en/index.html
There you can give in a web address for China and see whether it is safe.

Then Chinese developers also make very advanced anti malware programs for instance IceSword is one of the best rootkit detectors in this world. Baidu again is a very succesful search engine. So there are also good things that come from China... 成功始於足下

@ polonus

Most Chinese software companies work for the government directly or indirectly

I wouldn't want their softwares to spy on me
