License question - reinstalling windows or transferring to new PC

I just have a quick question about licenses for Avast Pro. If you need to reinstall windows or want to transfer a license to a new computer, can you still use the same license on the new system? Do you first need to deactivate the license on the old system somehow?

I just did it. I had stored my license file on a CD. When I installed Pro on a different computer, it asked for the license file and I directed it to the CD. All was well. I did not deactivate the license on the old system, I just uninstalled Pro.
