To Cadremis :o

Matousec is no firewall test, but a leak test. See it like this : If Matousec says you are a great prison guard ( outbound protection ), it doesn't mean you are a great doorman at a club ( inbound protection ) as well ;)

comodo 4+install firewall and if you like the best proactive protection configure it to maximum proactive defense while installing
after that disable sandbox and use alternative sandbox like sandboxie"by that you get more protection"
Dreams don't die, they just fall asleep.

Wich Firewall is the best with Avast 5 Free en WHY:
Comodo or PC Tools

If you just want to choose between these two...
-Comodo, if you are rather experienced with firewalls. (flexible/adjustable)
-PC Tools is easier to use and less knowledge needed. (still a very good firewall for custom needs)

W8.1 [x64] - Avast Free AV 23.3.8047.BC [UI.757] - Firefox ESR 102.9 [NS/uBO/PB] - Thunderbird 102.9.1

ZoneAlarm Free or Windows 7 & Vista Firewall Control Free

are the best fw's with avast! 5 Free because they user friendly,

lite, trouble free and do their job well.

PC Tools Firewall Plus is buggy and slow reacting.

Comodo has a bad reputation.  The personel

at Comodo lack creability.  http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=46737.msg414081#msg414081

According to Stem, the firewall guru at Wilders, OutPost 2009 Free has weak inbound filtering.

The best Firewall is the one that runs on your computer without causing any problems.
You should try them all such as Comodo, On Line Armor.PC Tools, etc, etc, etc and only then will you know which is the best for you.
I have tried them all and finished up using the Windows 7 firewall (2 way) and Avast Free. This for me is the best combination.
On my XP computer i use Avast Free and the Windows firewall (1 way only) and never had any problems or nasties in 5 years.
You must of course be mindful of where you go and be very careful of email attachments.

I forgot to mention "leak tests" are overrated.

It's the job of avast! to deal with anything that gets by any firewall.

SAS Free & mbam free are back ups.
