A strange problem (with AshDisp.exe?)

I have a bad problem: when I click (many times) the tray icon, nothing happen!
And same happens, when I try to run ashDisp.exe at Avast folder.
So I can't change settings of protection levels.

But I can open the main settings -window, check files, etc...

I have Xp Sp3 and.
There are running a few ash-process in my computer, also the ashdisp.exe.

So, what's wrong with ashdisp.exe?

i use the free version 5.0.462.
which version do you use  
if your version is 4.8 upgrade to 5
I tried to do the same and failed.
I click here in the icon several times end still working.
I do not have this file running in my task manager
I have just AvastSvc.exe end AvastUI.exe.
try repair the installation.

Ok, I installed the newest version...
Everything works now well!
When I click the icon, the avast menu prompts!
