Hi there.

Getting exasperated with this one as I can't even change the problem, let alone fix it.

Environment
=========

Windows 2003 Server Std Ed running as Terminal Server
Intel Server 5000 mainboard, 2 x Dual Core Xeon, 4GB RAM, RAID-5 using 15krpm SAS drives
UP to 10 users, generally fewer
Avast Server Edition 4.8.1110
My most important customer :) naturally!

Issue
====

Recently users began complaining of very poor performance. When I checked CPU usage the SYSTEM instance of aswServ.exe is consistently in the region of 20%-30%. If I run On Access Protection Control from the tray, the same will happen with the SYSTEM instance of aswDisp.exe.

This is bizarre as I probably look after 10 servers with Avast installed and have never experienced this issue. I have uninstalled and re-installled checked settings and so on but without success. Any suggestions on how to proceed would be gratefully received.
