Avast! 5 boot time scan

Hey all,
Im new to avast and recently downloaded and installed avast! free antivirus 5.0. I would like to run a boot-time scan but just cant figure out how to do it. checked the web for tutorials with no results. any advice is mostly appreciated

Hi jbalgrim, welcome to the forum :)

To schedule a boot time scan in avast! 5, follow these instructions:

Open avast! GUI --> Click 'Scan Computer' --> Click 'Boot time scan' just underneath that when it appears.

From there you can schedule it and adjust the settings etc.

You can set avast to do a boot time scan from the GUI.
But only if you're running a 32bit system, on 64bit it will be available in v5.1

What is your OS ?

If a 64bit version of windows it isn't available, otherwise, see this image.
