Best I can tell, the only differences between Free and Pro is faster updates, sandbox, and script blocking (but only in 32bit and IE). (http://www.avast.com/comparison-chart)
Is this true?
And what does "faster updates" mean? Does that refer to the speed of download, how quickly updates are made available, or the frequency of automatic updating?
Thanks!
.
faster updates (
= frequency or priority , and not download speed
) I don't think so. There are two updates a day maximum and I'm not sure at all that "pro" users have any sort or priority...to be confirmed, or not...I'm using AIS after having used "free", and I didn't notice any difference (for auto-updates).
sandbox yes (well, it's in the list
)
script blocking works in both 64 and 32 bit OS, but is restricted to IE yes, or anything else running a script in Windows, with the exception of Firefox, Chrome and Opera
