The fact that it was written a few years ago makes no difference.  Palant addresses the general approach and philosophy behind NoScript, in light of the Firefox framework.  Or, if I'm wrong, tell me what point(s) Palant made have been made irrelevant by the mere passage of time.  Or, for that matter, what point(s) are incorrect or irrelevant because of the so-called rivalry?

If I had to choose between AdBlock Plus and NoScript, I'd keep NoScript.  A good Hosts file can do much(not all) that AdBlock Plus does, although it takes a little more overhead.
