Dear Forum,
Why is the 'update program' function (NOT the update engine and virus definitions) updating itself almost every 20 minutes?
I have 'engine and virus definitions' set to automatic and 'program' set to manual. Update parameters I have ticked with 'my computer is permanently connected to the internet' and the Auto-update interval set at 'every 240 minutes'.
Yet, I noticed that the 'update program' function has been executing itself at least five times in the last hour.
Is this a bug in Avast?
I have set both update options to manual and dechecked the 'permanently connected to the internet option'.
Will be interesting to see what it does now!
