Avast 5.0.507 cannot decompress exe file as 4.8 does

When scanning the common codec package file K-Lite_Codec_Pack_551_Mega.exe with Avast 5.0.507 free edition, the scan log says the archive is protected by password so cannot be scanned,while the same file can be decompressed and scanned with no issues with 4.8 free. It seems to be an apparent bug of 5.0.507, Hopefully the issue can be solved soon.

and why do you think that the file was decompessed by v 4.8? I think that v 4.8 don't know the packer so it is not trying to decompress the file so it cannot report that the file is password protected.
