Malware Removal Certification
« on: April 21, 2010, 09:02:49 PM »
Right now I'm in college, getting the skills I need to be CompTIA A+ certified. I was wondering if there is any national certification for malware removal, what it is, and where you go to get it.

To the best of my knowledge the closest you can come to that is ethical hacking https://www.eccouncil.org/certification/certified_ethical_hacker.aspx although you could train at one of the unite schools - but I am not sure if they are accepted as a qualification

That sounds kind of like what my teacher told me. I was just wondering where I could go to professionally learn to remove malware, or is it just something you learn on-the-job for a computer repair place?

There are no professionally accredited schools that I know of.  However, there are several schools online that will give you a very good knowledge in removing malware

Most computer repairs shops go for a reformat if they find malware (it is the quickest way for them, with no knowledge of malware required )
