Phil... We're near to the end  :'(
As avast is scanning your emails but it's not adding notes, I suppose that the problem is on the HTML source of the message... Can you add notes to pure txt emails?  ::)

Technical,
Only text notes as far as I know. Maybe HTML isn't turned on?

Yes, I use the latest version of Incredimail which automatically junks unauthorised e mail.

Just a heads up, I'll quote from Incredimails privacy and usage policy

(b) Unless stated specifically otherwise therein, grant IncrediMail an unrestricted, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, display, perform, modify, transmit and distribute the material, and you further agree that IncrediMail is free to use any ideas, know-how, concepts or techniques you send us for any purpose, without any compensation to you or any other person.

The link is here

http://www.incredimail.com/english/termsofuse.html

You might also like to review their privacy policy too.

If you find the programme usefull, that's great.  Personally I woudn't go there, it's a bit like letting the postman read my mail and use the information for profit.

it's just so that you understand the programme you are using.  You give them (the programme writers) any rights over any ideas, information etc that you send through Incredimail over to them, and also that any messages are subject to examination by them.  As I said, it's like giving your postman rights to exploit any profitability in your post.  In effect, you have said, I will let you read my mail and if I have any good ideas that you can use.......... go ahead and you can profit from it.

Phil, I think you can be safe scanning your outbound mail even you don't have the notes...
Can't you figure out if Incredimail has any different HTML configuration, or do not allow 'signatures' or something like that?

What inthewildteam tryed to say is that your privacy is not assured into Incredimail...  :'(

 :) Thank you gentlemen for your efforts.  I was going to suggest that as I can see Avast is scanning in and out, although there are no notes or that it states it is scanning Outlook, then we leave it here.

wildteam thanks for the warning.

Set Outlook Express email accounts to port 110 (default).
Go to each email account, Properties, Advanced tab and set them to 110.

....

DefaultPopServer=your pop server address
DefaultSmtpServer=your smtp server address
SmtpListen=127.0.0.1:25
PopListen=127.0.0.1:110
UseDefaultSmtp=0
AutoSetProtection=1
Trust=127.0.0.1
StartSmtp=1

Ok, i have OE 6 and Spamihilator 0.9.8.4
Spamihilator uses localhost for checking incoming messages...
How do i put it and Avast 4 home version to co-operate ?
