Avast Freezes My Computer for Hours on Startup

I will be the third person to state I'm having problems since the last Avast program update I made a few days ago.  My computer is pretty stable and I usually only have to reboot a couple times a week.  WinXP x64 up-to-date updates.

My boot time does seem longer, but not so long it cause problems.  But I am having problems documented in another thread in this forum.

Please start a New Topic of your own and we will help you there.  The thread you posted in is over 7 months old and is a different version from the current version of Avast.
