Management Server Access Denied
« on: April 23, 2010, 08:52:16 PM »
I recently purchased SBS for 10 machines, I tried loading the ADNM on the SBS2003 server but could not get it to recognize the Avast Server. I kept getting the message "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it...." I had avast send a new license and verified it in the fils as stated in the support forum, Still no help. In looking at the forum, I noted this could be loaded on a work station, so I did this, Now it says "Access Denied" unable to login as Administrator or connection error.

Any thoughts?

Did you deploy the managed server on the Win2003 box or the standalone 4.8 Server Edition? If you deployed the standalone 4.8 edition, then it can't communicate with ADNM since it's designed to pull updates straight from Avast.
