Win95: Maytas avoidance..........again
« on: July 13, 2004, 02:45:19 PM »
Hi,

I know the above virus is nothing to worry about but how do I set up avast to disregarding it next time I scan.

I have around 4 or 5 that pop up every time I scan.

Havn't worked out how to setup the scan to avoid it.

I couldn't find nothing in the forum on how to help me with this issue.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

CSC.

How about putting the files you don't want to be detected into the list of exclusions?
(program Settings / Exclusions)

Thanks for your reply.

I would do that for sure but have no idea how or where to find it.

Avast is all new to me. Been looking for 30 min without any luck to find what to click on to sort it out.

Cheers

Rightclick on the skin of the Simple User Interface and select "Settings". Then, switch to the "Exclusions" page.

Hi Igor,

Thanks for your patience.

Still having heaps of dramas.............

Several problems actually.

Scanner cannot complete its full cycle. Have tried many times.

Deleted avast, downloaded again, same result each time.

It seems to stop about three quarters through with current scanner status saying "infected".

Heres whats showing up in the latest log:

I have pretty much tried everything I know, be it limited knowledge.

Turned off system restore, ran avast, turned it back on, everything.

Cannot get avast to bypass WIN95:MYATAS PLUS I have no idea what the others are.

Apologies for being so naive but I just want to sort this drama out.

Other virus protections I have tried have missed these completely so I will now stick with avast as long as I can sort it out.

Cheers

Oh, you have used Panda online scan? You can just delete pav.sig and it should stop.
