Outlook Express scanning
« on: July 14, 2004, 06:06:18 PM »
Hello all

hoping to get some advice, I`ve set up the home edition on my PC and have it working with Outlook Express6, is there any way I can turn off the alarm sound when a virus does appear or even better is there a way of ensuring an incoming virus is deleted permanently so it will not arrive to my Inbox?

thanks in advance

If i'm not mistaken, Avast sound files can be turned on and off in Control Panel:Sounds then the sounds tab, and scroll down to find Avast.

Also, you can access this sound files area within Avast configuration options as well.

Like Kobra said, just turn off avast sounds.

or even better is there a way of ensuring an incoming virus is deleted permanently so it will not arrive to my Inbox?

Only in Professional version this would be posible.
In Home version, take 'silent action' and answer 'No' at the advanced tab of provider settings. This is the only automatic action posible: send file to Chest.

More options, see the link 'Settings' on my signature.
