Hi all, I have been using avast for a bit now, but recently ran into an issue Avast IS 5.0 - Can't delete infected files that aren't running.
I am on a windows 7 ultimate machine.

These files are on an attached system drive (came from another computer for scanning).
Messages received:
-Access Denied
-File not found (paraphrased) (more than one similar message)

What I do to resolve this at the moment:
I start cmd in admin mode (type cmd in start menu right click and hit run as admin)
then I navigate to each location and manually delete each file.
This is tedious! (I can't even copy and paste the paths!)

My understanding of the cause:
permissions and ownership.
I do not want to change either ownership or permissions to resolve this in case this causes problems when I return the drive to the original system.
Is there some way to make avast delete the files regardless of permissions and ownership (like an admin mode cmd can).
Maybe there is a way to run the scan in admin mode? But why doesn't this happen automatically?
Unfortunately the System volume information folders can't be accessed even from the admin cmd, there I am forced to use linux, I just boot in and delete the files from there.

Other notes:
I had one other thing happen once, I deleted some of the infections manually and decided to try to move them all to the chest using the avast interface,
it worked, but I have not been able to repeat this.

Anyway maybe I am missing something, let me know and thanks :)

Edit: I was using 5.0 not 4.8. (the orange one - with latest updates.)
