If your P2P program (which is ?) isn't on the list of supported applications then it will remain on 0 if it isn't being monitored.

If you don't know what P2P (Peer 2 Peer, file swapping) is then I doubt you have a p2p program so you won't have a scanned count and you can terminate the P2P Shield, before you do you can click Customize and you will see a list of p2p programs supported by avast.

The avast help file is a very 'helpful' tool ;D

Also you should have noted the * after LimeWire* in the listing indicating supported only in WinNT/2000/XP, so if you don't have one of those OSes the scanned count will still remain at 0.
