OK I have tried to find out if running Superantispyware gives me anymore protection/capability than my running Avast.  Do I need Superantispyware in addition to my Avast anitvirus program?  Thanks

Hi dlane123,

Yes for the free non-resident version of MBAM and/or SAS you have to frequently update to be protected through their latest databases, but it is a very good additional protection combined with any resident av solution like avast for instance,

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

  • If at first you don’t succeed; call it version 1.0

@dlane123
The free versions of MBAM or SAS ask nothing for removal. This action is available to the user. Both are very good.
SpywareDoctor is the one that finds stuff but makes you pay prior to activating it's removal abilities.
