5.0.507 Free Registration Question

Just installed 5.0.507 (was using 4.8 before - both were/are free version) and iot seems to work fine - still checking ... but have a question about registration.

Go to 'registration information'' where it says I'm currently reg'd ... but ...
next line says reg will expire on 4/22 7:53:57 ... but  ...
the nest line says date of reg is 4/22 7:53:57

Obviously it didn't expire when it said, but why the weird data?

I don't know why the weird date format the problem is that 5.0 attempts to retain the registration information from 4.8 but the expiry date should start from the first of the month in of the avast 4.8 the expiry date (again the first of the month) in 4.8.

Now the date of reg relates to when you first installed and first registered avast 4.x.

Not quite right .... reg'd/installed 5.0.507 on 4/22 ... that'sright
but reg'd/installed 4.x over a year  ago.

Yes but did you install 5.0 over 4.8 as that would be the only way it would attempt to use the 4.8 registration data info (or did you uninstall 4.8 before installing 5.0 ?

If you did uninstall 4.8 first then the dates would relate to the clean install of 5.0, but why the weird date format I don't know.

As you can see in my image, the date format is correct for me in the UK (day/month/year) and the time is zeroed out. For US date format month/day/year should be that format (but you didn't indicate a year being displayed) but it is weird that your time (7:53:57) wasn't zeroed out as mine.

Time definitely not zeroed out here either...  don't see why it'd matter though

Interesting, I don't see why there is the inconsistency (not that it is important), perhaps because mine was an update 5.0 over 4.8 and on an earlier version of 5.0.418. But as my last post mentions I would at least expect the year to be displayed in RAPAvast's registration info.
