try this

Check your computer for Malware with

Malwarebytes Antimalware
after install click UPDATE and run quick scan, click on REMOVE SELECTED to quarantine anything found

Are cookies really spyware and are they dangerous?

If anything is found come back and post the scan logs here

Hi shogun1,

Malware site detected and reported at between Jan 19 and May 3 2010

Keep clear of malware distribution sites. Malware attempts to corrupt your computer, for example by installing fake anti-virus, trojans, and viruses. These may expose your passwords, log your keystrokes, or even turn your system into a bot that can send spam or attack other computers.
Fake Scanner / Rogue AV / Redirects to Rogue AV see
A trojan/virus distribution site. Stay clear!
