Avast AntiVirus 5 Scan Setting Options

When I attempt to click on settings for the scan options, most of the options are grayed out. I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT BOOT TIME SCAN.

How can I fix this?

Hi devilsnight228,

I presume that these are the default scans that you are trying to configure? (so the settings would be greyed out like the image)

This is, in fact, correct. The default, standard scans are precisely that. In order for you to fully customise a scan with those settings, you would have to click on 'create custom scan' at the bottom of the 'Scan now' page.
