If the product (AIS or Pro) acquired and after the receipt of activation code via email, will it expire after certain time if not being used ? If yes, how long ?

Not 100% sure but my guess is that if you buy a one year license, it will last one year from the day you buy it.....

So it can't be delay .. as it counts from the date of purchase not the date of activate.  :-\ I am thinking to buy now (to utilise the 50% discount) but only activate after the trial.

it starts counting down from the MINUTE it was bought. no waiting. so dont buy if you are not going to use it. it seems avast always has specials every couple months. i got in on the three year 3pc lic's for about 80$ each. one of the things i really like about avast is they seem to always run specials. i also sent a freind to email sales to ask about discounts and they gave him a near 50% when no specials were even running at that time so i would wait till you are ready to buy
