Blender & Python
« on: May 17, 2010, 04:58:59 PM »
Does anyone use Blender?
I installed Blender.  When I installed it, I was informed I needed to install Python 2.6 to run Blender.
I did find Python over at FileHippo.  However, Python 2.6 is NOT the latest version of Python.  Python is now up to version 3.1.2.  Will it be OK to go with the latest Python 3.1.2 or should I stick with downloading and installing the Python 2.6 that the Blender install message specified?

Well, I used the latest version of Python.
Ehhh, it's NOT gonna work out.
I quickly found out both from messing with it and from a friend telling me ... that my old, slow, underpowered computer will NOT be able to handle Blender.
